SAAB JA-37 Viggen

This is the 3rd time that I edit this picture. I was not happy with 2 previous ones because one had a better processing in the aircraft, but maybe overdone and the other one had better dramatic clouds but the plane looked flat. So in this revision, I think that I have the best for each other, although I have fully edited the picture. This is not a mix between the older versions.

The SAAB 37 Viggen (English: Thunderbolt) was a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range fighter and attack aircraft, manufactured between 1970 and 1990. Several variants were produced to perform the roles of all-weather fighter-interceptor, ground attack and photo-reconnaissance, as well as a two-seat trainer. The model in the image is part of the Cuatro Vientos Air Museum collection, that can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 14:00.

  1. Lovely. Great work and brings back many memories. As a kid I lived in a small town that had a airforce division. Knew the sound of that plane by heart and loved the sight of them. Was amazing to see them drill ground attacks coming in fast and low, quick roll then step climb. Beautiful plan, replaced by another beautiful plan (JAS-39 Gripen).
