GT by Citroën

If you have gamed to Gran Turismo for PS3, I am sure that you know this car. The GT by Citroën concept car was specially created, designed and produced for the game Gran Turismo 5 and was included through download in its latest version Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Its designer came up with the project and sold it to both Polyphony Digital and Citroën.

The GT by Citroën (sometimes spelled GTbyCitroën) is a sports car that debuted as a concept car on October 2 at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.

The car’s exterior design was made by Takumi Yamamoto, a Japanese designer from Jean-Pierre Ploué’s Style Citroën design team. Takumi Yamamoto was a childhood friend of Kazunori Yamauchi, director of Polyphony Digital and creator of the popular Gran Turismo franchise, also known as “Gegge”. According to a Yamauchi interview at the Paris Motor Show 2008], he and Yamamoto started collaborating on this project back in 2003. A press release published on the North American Gran Turismo official website describes the Citroën and Polyphony Digital collaboration as a « a joint effort first talked about at the Geneva Motor Show past March [2008] ». Yamamoto convinced Jean-Pierre Ploué to submit his concept to Citroën’s head office in Paris who agreed to start the production process and manufacture the real car. The concept car’s rear was carefully designed to fit what the gamers will actually see in the game since it is the more powerful featured vehicle, argues Yamamoto.

Passengers, I’m Watching You!

These are the old arrivals for high speed trains (AVE) at Puerta de Atocha Rail Station. The hall has 2 great babies sculptures created by Antonio López, the famous painter, called ‘Night’ (Noche) and ‘Day’ (Día). They seem that are watching you when you arrive. These arrivals have been substituted after Xmas, with a new modern terminal, that I have seen but not shot. I will do in my next trip to home. The new terminal has an amazing architecture …

Symmetry Of Clouds

After breaking my Lee Big Stopper filter ( 10 stops ND filter) during a session at AZCA, Madrid, I decided to buy a Hoya ND400 77mm for my lens. The day was cloudy and there was some wind, so I decide to try the filter and shoot the clouds motion and their reflection on the water. I had to set my camera on a support of a barrier, because several minutes ago I was stopped by security staff saying that trippod were not permitted on the park, as they are considered for pro use. And professional photographers need to ask for a permit before shooting. What do you think about this, taking into account that this is a supposed public park.

Maybach 57 #2

Maybach 57 is a car that belongs to the luxury brand of Daimler AG. This car is derived from Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept car was based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. This series is a direct competency to the Rolls-Royce and Bentley luxury branches.

Two Guardians At Retiro

2 weeks without posting new stuff. I’ve just taken a break to rest from photography. It sometimes seems that it is more a job than a hobby. I have spent the time organizing my LR catalog, learning about WordPress blogs, installing my new Quad Core desktop and studying the possibilities to customize my Smugmug portfolio and to select and pay for a Premium theme for WordPress. I have been looking into ProPhoto from Netrivet. And to host the website, I am thinking in 1&1. What do you think about this ?

Meanwhile, I have chosen a picture from an old season for the daily post – I need to have time for shooting new pictures.
